What distinguish Centerpoint Security from other companies are our people. All new employees must go through the following recruitment process.

  • Prior Employment Verification
  • Personal Interview Session conducted by Centerpoint Security
  • Interview Session conducted by client (optional)
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • Criminal History Check
  • Personality Profile Questionnaire

All applicants placed will possess and valid and current California Guard Card as mandated by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.

All officers must have completed 40 hours of classroom training, submitted fingerprints, and must be cleared by CA Department of Justice and FBI. Successful applicants are then issued appropriate permits from the state of California. All permits must then be renewed every two years.

Once an applicant is hired by Centerpoint Security they must then undergo a comprehensive orientation and training program.

All of our newly hired security officers must complete a 30 hour training and orientation session, which includes the following topics:

  • Public relations
  • Basic duties and responsibilities
  • Basic first aid and fire protection
  • Uniforms and appearance
  • Methods of communication
  • Crime prevention
  • Company policies
  • Report writing
  • Personal conduct
  • Legal authority and limitations
